At 缅北强奸Charlotte, public health means improving the health of diverse populations. In our B.S. in Public Health, you will learn to assess and plan for community needs, exploring a holistic approach through interdisciplinary courses in public health, nutrition, exercise science, psychology, sociology and economics.
Students in the public health program learn to think about global health and how to address global issues, focusing on a country and developing solutions to problems its populations face. Many take additional electives in management to become prepared for entry-level careers in such areas as healthcare administration and management, consulting, policy administration and quality improvement in healthcare.
Our Public Health graduates can apply to continue their education through JWU’s Master of Public Health degree program at our Providence Campus, taking a more comprehensive immersion in public health in order to train as future leaders. Other graduates of our B.S. in Public Health program have gone on to earn M.P.H. degrees at institutions including Johns Hopkins University, New York University and George Washington University.
Through small class sizes and personalized instruction, you will work closely with supportive, industry-knowledgeable faculty who take a personal interest in helping you prepare for your public health future. Having developed close relationships with local organizations, our faculty have helped students network and prepare for opportunities to improve community outcomes and conduct independent research.
