缅北强奸Goes Global, now in its sixth year, is a week-long series of events that will give students, staff and faculty on the Providence campus multiple opportunities to partake in educational programs and cultural events.
Running October 19-23, 缅北强奸Goes Global will feature several speakers, a study abroad fair, photo displays, and interactive activities such global trivia and karaoke.
will kick off this year’s event on Monday, October 19 at 9:20am in Schneider Auditorium. Arce will share her story of “climbing the corporate ladder” as both a Hispanic woman and an undocumented immigrant. Now the director of public affairs at , a media organization that aims to change the culture around immigration and citizenship, Arce will discuss her decision to leave Wall Street and pursue a career as an immigration rights advocate.
Free tickets can be picked up in the BRIDGE Center or Wildcat Center Lounge.

Hosted by the Cultural Connections Club, 缅北强奸students will set up table displays and interactive activities designed to engage attendees with their culture. Traditional dance demonstrations and group dancing will follow. Food from around the world will be served.
Hiring & Global Competencies Workshop

Experiential Education & Career Services will facilitate discussions on how to identify students’ existing global competencies and add to them, as well as how to best represent them during their job search.
Many more activities will be taking place throughout the week, including international dinner menus in Snowden Dining Hall, Study Abroad photos on display in the International Center and Downcity Library, Tibetan prayer flag-making in the Den, international students featured on Chef Terranova’s Cooking with Class on NBC10, an international display in the Harborside library and more.
